What is SAT Superscoring?
SAT Superscoring is when colleges take your highest Math score and highest Reading & Writing score from different test dates and combine them into one total score. This means if you scored 700 in Math on your first attempt and 680 in Reading & Writing on your second attempt, your superscore would be 1380 — not your single-sitting scores of 1200 or 1150. Most top colleges accept superscores, giving you a real advantage when you retake the SAT.
